The U11B team were back in action just 48 hours after their last victory. Could it be repeated?
Brentham elected to bat and the game progressed fairly evenly balanced. However, a lapse in concentration by the Ealing team led to a flurry of extras and overthrows. Brentham's momentum was finally stopped by a fine first over from Johnny when he claimed 3 wickets. Combined with some tighter bowling from the subsequent bowlers, Brentham were held to a large but potentially manageable 110 for 6. Could Ealing rise to the challenge?
Ealing's intent was clear from the start. Some big hitting from the opener Robert showed the chase was on! But could this be maintained once he was dismissed? The pressure certainly didn't show for Jack, who looked like the most relaxed batsman in the world. Combined with a fine captain's innings from Christopher the runs kept coming. By the time Tom and Hussain came in they knew what needed to be done and both produced mature innings to ensure victory (112 for 4) with 2 overs in hand.
With the U11A victory the night before, this was a hat-trick for the U11s. Well done guys, you are on a roll!
