With Acton looking to be our closest competition in the league this year, this was a key game. Losing the toss, we were put into bat and started off brightly, with Adi (32) looking on good form. However a spate of run outs and a couple of wickets put a different complexion on the game. Luckily some good late runs from Harry (12) and Isaac (12 n/o) and a healthy contribution of extras meant we set a respectable total of 125, despite an uncharacteristically high number of wickets.
Again, we started off well in the field, with Isaac taking a key early wicket and finishing on 2 wickets for 17 runs. However we eased off a little in the third quarter and Acton's batsmen put in a good stint to close the gap. With a high run rate required though, a couple of run outs chasing the total slowed things down again, and in the end we won by 10 runs.
