Whilst perhaps not a vintage performance from the team, there was certainly enough to entertain those watching. Having won the toss and electing to field, we put in a good bowling performance and a better fielding display than the previous week. On quite a soft pitch, we restricted South Hampstead to 55 runs and nearly managed to bowl them out. Ted, with two wickets for six runs, and Alec (making his debut) with two for fourteen, topped the bowling figures, with TK and Adi also taking wickets, and the others all bowling tidily.
South Hampstead proved to be a stronger bowling side and, having been set a low total, our batsmen managed to keep things interesting to the end, with some rather unnecessary wickets! After what's worryingly becoming a habit of losing an early wicket, Isaac came in at number 3 and set about the bowling with relish, scoring 13 with some fine shots, before being unfortunate to get out lbw. Rian and Ludo both scored 11 and Adi 6 not out, before Jack A restored some sanity and calmly hit the winning runs with more than 10 overs to spare.
