The B’s finished their season on a high note with an excellent performance against the A’s. After a heavy defeat in their first meeting - when they didn’t take a single wicket – the B’s were keen to be more imposing this time around. They succeeded, and reduced the A’s to 75-7. However some superb late hitting from Faris Aslam (35 from 19 balls), well supported by Pip Earle (15 not out), took the A’s score to a defendable 124-8 from their 20 overs. In reply the B’s batted well -there were many fine strokes and significant contributions - but the B’s lacked a dominant match winning innings, having eight scores above 6 but none above 14. Wickets fell too frequently, mostly to Pip Earle who took 5, and the B’s finished on 98-9.
There’s no link to the crichq scorecard as the app or my phone was misbehaving and I couldn’t upload the scorecard which is currently sitting on my phone ( I know workmen and tools but honestly…! ).
