Ealing U13B’s beat the cold and Old Actonians

This was Ealing U13B’s first match of the new season and it certainly felt like a different season from our last match i.e. winter! Nevertheless some things were reassuringly familiar. In particular Zach and Anosh's confident start to the innings - with Zach going onto to make a match winning 68 out of an excellent 120-2 from 15 overs. Old Actonians batted well in reply, demonstrating that 13 year olds can hit the ball a lot harder than the 11 years olds they faced 8 months ago. But Ealing’s bowling was also excellent and the result was never really in doubt. Old Actonians finished on 81-8 - the stand out performance in my view being Theo’s two wickets in two balls.
