A tired game played by tired players on a tired track that petered out in a first loss for the U13As against Idris who single-handedly brought Shepherds Bush to the brink of victory with an impressive 83 – Ealing kindly lent the opposition our old friend Extras who scored 21 vital runs and so it came down to the last over with Bush needing 5 runs to win.
It seemed odds on Ealing would do it with the no. 7 bat to face the last over but it didn’t go to plan or with the form book - that’s cricket, football, strictly, Britain’s got talent etc, - maybe we should have let the dog bowl after all…
Highs?
Faris Aslam’s terrific quick fire 36 no with two massive 6s and Ludo’s catch on the boundary to dismiss Idris and give us a chance.
Ealing 135 for 4 off 20 overs – Shepherds Bush 137 for 5 off 19.5 overs.
So a league decider against Osterley away next week...keep the faith boys!
