Ealing won the toss and decided to bat. Spirits were high from the day, this changed quickly as the home side found themselves 30-3. Great knocks from Bailey Capel and Mylo Wilkin helped rebuild a platform for the Ealing lower to finish the innings. After 50 overs Ealing ended on 212 and were happy having defended a similar score the day before.
Aston rowant found themselves 2 down in the first few overs, however just like the Ealing innings they were able to rebuild and found themselves 78-2 at drinks. The game was in the balance and it was important for Ealing to get a wicket to open up an end. Shortly after drinks the Ealing skipper bowled an over where he got both set batsmen out which turned the game massively in Ealing favour.
In the end Aston Rowant were bowled out for 156 and all in all a good all round performance for the first competitive game of the year.
