Ealing Cricket Club has always thrived because of the people behind it, not just on the pitch, but in the time, ideas and energy that members bring to the club.
As we look ahead to 2026 and beyond, the Trustees want to build on that strength by taking some important next steps to secure ECC’s future: strengthening our finances, growing participation, and creating even more reasons for people to spend time at the club.
To do this, we are launching two focused, action-oriented sub-committees, and we are inviting members to be part of them.
These groups will be practical, friendly and impact-driven. You don’t need prior experience or a formal background, just enthusiasm for Ealing CC and a willingness to get involved.
Sub-Committee: Sponsorship & Fundraising Initiatives
Helping Ealing CC become more financially resilient
This group will work with local businesses and supporters to develop new sponsorship opportunities and fundraising initiatives that directly support the club’s long-term sustainability.
Chair: Shilpa Patel (shilpavpatel@gmail.com)
Current volunteers: Neesha Patel & Puja Dusad
Looking for: 2–3 additional members
Time commitment:
• 1–2 meetings per month (virtual or in-person)
• Around 1 hour per week outside meetings
Sub-Committee: Members & Community Engagement
Bringing more people into the club and creating new energy
This group will focus on events, activities and ideas that increase use of the clubhouse and bar, attract new audiences, and strengthen the sense of community at ECC — while also creating new income streams
Chair: Bobby Gamble (bobby.gamble25@gmail.com)
Trustee support: Catherine Pearce
Looking for: Members with ideas, energy and an interest in events and community
Time commitment:
• 1–2 meetings per month (virtual or in-person)
• Around 1 hour per week outside meeting
These sub-committees will play a real role in shaping the club’s future. Small contributions of time can have a big impact, and this is a great way to help Ealing CC thrive off the field as well as on it.
We expect to form additional sub-committees over time as new priorities emerge, so even if neither group feels quite right for you, we would still love to hear from you.
If you’d like to get involved, or simply want to find out more, please email cricket@ealingcc.co.uk or contact the relevant Chair directly.
Thank you for being part of Ealing Cricket Club, and for helping us build an even stronger future together.
