Bob Fisher, John Lindley, Alan Price, Willie Shaw and David Fenton have now reached SEVENTY YEARS as members of our wonderful Club and we would like to honour them for their friendship, loyalty and dedication since they joined us at Corfton Road in 1955. They all played in the first season of Colts Cricket at ECC under the guidance of Mervyn Mansell. Could anyone have guessed in 1955 how the Juniors Section would have grown since then, with around 500 boys and girls of all ages being so well coached and developed seventy years later?

As you know, Bob Fisher is our Club President and we will be staging the annual President’s Day on Friday 18th July 2025.

The format of the day will be much the same as normal with an Ealing XI playing a match against The President's Invitation XI starting at 11.30am.

There will be an extended lunch break when we will have the opportunity to honour them all with some well chosen words, some photographs and a presentation to them in honour and celebration of their unique achievement.

The “Fantastic Five” are aware of the plans for President’s Day and would be so pleased to see as many of their old friends as possible.

Elite Catering will be preparing an excellent Barbecue Lunch for us to enjoy and the John Poore Bar will once again be well stocked with Pimms, Ales, Lagers and much more to ease us through what I’m sure will be a thoroughly enjoyable day.

We need to know how many of you will be able to join us on the day and I would be very grateful if you could respond to me (Yay or Nay) as soon as possible c/o cricket@ealingcc.co.uk with name, numbers attending and any dietary requirements.

As you know, the Club operates as a Registered Charity and there will be a ticket charge of £25 per head to cover the cost of the Barbecue Lunch, a glass of Pimms on arrival and a glass of Fizz to toast our Quintet of Stars at lunchtime.
