Hi everyone
New Year – new interest?….anyone fancy a spot of gardening at ECC?
There are several garden areas at our club which need regular attention i.e. around the club house, Axbey Pavilion, car park and next to the scorebox. For some time I have had in mind to get a small group of volunteers together to look after them and this is my appeal to get a small team together!
If we have a team of say 5 or 6 people the individual time requirement would be minimal with jobs being done at a time to suit….I am sure that with a combined effort we can get some special results.
There is obviously less to do at this time of year but there is always something e.g. weeding, feeding, pruning, planting, leaf clearing.
We would all like to see pots and troughs for our paved areas and hanging baskets…..this all takes some planning and now would be a good time to make plans so we are ready for the new season….in fact, a good start would be to acquire pots and troughs so if you have any that are unwanted they would be very welcome here along with any cuttings, plants or bulbs that you might have spare.
Please let me know on jones2000@tinyworld.co.uk if you think you can help and I will see about taking things forward.
Many thanks and Happy New Year to all
