Simon Hughes, also known as The Analyst, is an English cricketer and journalist. He has been a member of Ealing CC for many years and with EalingCC are working together to offer ‘scholarships’ in his Dad’s name for underprivileged children.

Simon's father, Peter Hughes, coached young cricketers at Ealing Cricket Club for nearly 40 years. He gave up so much of his time organising games, coaching and recruiting players, and transporting them to games.

Their house was littered with kit. Cricket is an expensive game and through this fund Simon and EalingCC want to help young players develop their own interest in the game by providing equipment and coaching.

EalingCC hosts an annual match for Simon's XI against Millfields CC to raise money for the fund.

The teams' photo from this years match at Ealing CC includes four Hughes's ( Simon and his three childrens Billy, Nancy and Callum) all part of the Hughes Team!
