EalingCC New Trustee Appointments

EalingCC New Trustee Appointments

Louise Chippendale2 Dec - 18:20

A huge welcome to Cat, Bobby and Tom

Following Robbie White and Colin Wheeler stepping down, as Trustees, ECC is delighted to announce three new Trustee appointments. Catherine Pearce, Bobby Gamble and Tom Shepherd will be joining effective immediately.

All three have in-depth institutional knowledge on the Club and will bring a fresh drive and dynamism to the roles. Their defined roles will be announced in due course but as we go through this period of transition, they have kindly agreed to help out on areas that need immediate attention in helping drive the Club forward.

Please join David Holt, Chairman, in welcoming Cat, Bobby and Tom to their new roles and please find their Bios below;

Catherine Pearce
I have been a member of Ealing Cricket Club for going on 8 years and am truly proud to be able to contribute to its legacy. As Ladies’ 1st XI captain, bar staff and club fan, I’m delighted to be able to bring my knowledge and experience of the club from a player and club member level to the trustees. I love ECC as it gave me a home away from home and I look forward to be able to give back to the club that has been such a huge part of my life.

Bobby Gamble
1. Joined the club upon moving to London in 2022
2. Previously Committee member and Chair of YMCA Cricket Club, Dublin
3. Focus on supporting senior cricket and commercial growth
4. First Class & List A cricketing background
5. Relevant senior leadership position in technology sector, focussed on revenue growth.

Tom Shepherd
Many of you will know me from the side-lines over the past few years. I’ve been deeply involved in junior cricket at Ealing and have loved getting to know so many of our players and parents - whether managing, coaching, umpiring, organising tournaments, or simply cheering from the boundary.
I’m an ECB Level 2 coach and ACO M5-qualified umpire, but my real passion has been creating moments for our juniors to play, grow and have fun. From the U9 IFL and U8 Sixes (which brought over 100 players and 200 families from 16 teams to Corfton Road!) to the State Primary Schools Tournament and indoor cricket games over the winter, I’ve tried to make cricket as welcoming and accessible as possible for every child.
As I join the board, my focus is simple: clearer communication, better use of our grounds, stronger links between junior and senior cricket, and more structure so our coaches, managers and players can get the absolute best experience.
I’m really looking forward to working with all of you and helping our junior section continue to thrive.
