Ealing U10's make it 2 years running

Ealing U10 boys victorious in the Gubby Allen Middlesex Cup Final at Lords

What an amazing day! Eastcote won the toss and chose to bat first. Ealing fielded and bowled extremely well against some very talented batsmen and Eastcote achieved 117 runs - a very high score to chase.

However, Ealing kept very calm (although the parents were very nervous) and the boys were very patient and hit some fabulous shots. The communication between the batsmen was superb and runs began to flow, only losing 4 wickets in the whole innings.

The final pair, led by an amazing captain, Rohan Veraitch, needed 23 runs from 4 overs to win. It was extremely tense and came down to the final over, with Ealing needing 5 runs to win,

This was achieved with 2 balls remaining , but the final 2 balls had to be bowled (as in the U10s you lose 5 runs for a wicket) and it was nail biting but Rohan was on strike and confidently defended them for Ealing to become champions!

Well done boys - a fantastic achievement.
