“Ealing are very proud that our President Bob Fisher is about to embark on his second year as President of the Club Cricket Conference. The CCC Annual Lunch in aid of The Club Cricket Charity took place at Lords on Monday 25th November with over 550 attendees.
In support of Bob’s achievement, Trustee Greg Fitzpatrick put a table together comprising some great ECC veterans from the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, 80’s and beyond.

It turned out to be a wonderful reunion and took Bob completely by surprise. He was so pleased to see everyone there, particularly Alan Price who travelled from Newcastle Under Lyme to be at the Lunch. Bob and Alan played together in the very first “Colts” match in 1955 and will be embarking on their 71st year of membership in 2025, a really fantastic landmark for them and our Club.

“It was just wonderful to meet up with so many old friends from days gone by” said Greg Fitzpatrick.”There was so much laughter and reminiscing and we are so lucky that we’ve known each other for so many years and can just pick up where we left off the last time. We all agreed that we could give the 1st XI a run for their money but of course, that would have been 40 or 50 years ago, so we dream on! We hope for a repeat performance at next year’s CCC Lunch and we hope to see our “veterans” at Corfton Road next season."
