It's not often the team have to warm up for a cricket match with snow falling, thankfully, but that was the case on Tuesday night. Luckily it died off fairly quickly and we were able to play. Winning the toss, we asked Acton to bat first. With this being the first game of the season, the team were a little rusty but started to show signs of last year's form. For Acton, Huzaifa played a superb innings, finishing on 54 not out, setting us a total of 94 to win off the 15 overs. Shivan topped the bowling figures with 2 wickets for 7 runs, followed by Jack M with 1 for 12, helped by some great wicket-keeping from Chico.
Despite an early wicket and cold, windy conditions, we paced the batting well and overhauled the total with 9 balls to spare. Adi finished on 48 not out and Rian on 18 not out. Great to get our first win of the season and hopefully the next matches will be a bit warmer!
