Result: Wembley 104 – 3 off 15 overs, Ealing U13C 98-5 (15 overs). Wembley win by 6 runs.

In the end the old adage ‘catches win matches’ proved the difference. Ealing dropped two difficult chances and Wembley held theirs.
Wembley won the toss and decided to bat. Unfortunately, our main seamer was delayed and Callum was drafted in to open. To his credit he bowled straight and steady and gave little away. Generally the bowling was straight and disciplined. Highlight was a brilliant one handed reflex catch from James at wicketkeeper of Eliot's bowling and a first ball wicket from a middle stump yorker from Joseph. Dev was unlucky with a couple of nicks flying to the boundary.
The batting started well but got bogged down in overs 4 to 8 which put us behind the run rate and just couldn't quite catch up. Louis (24 not out) delivered some lusty blows, Daniel 23 and Jasper 13 also did well. Jasper unlucky to be caught off a sharp chance on the boundary.
Special mention to James Killick who volunteered to be wicky never having played as one before and did an excellent job.
