So ends another season, our 145th, with some fine team and individual performances...

Pride of place goes to our first team who on 1st September won the NatWest T20 National Finals at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff. Not just winning but sweeping aside the opposition! Our first game was against the holders, Chester Boughton Hall who were beaten by 10 wickets. In the final, Exmouth CC posted a decent total of 174-7 which we cruised by with the loss of only two wickets with a couple of overs in hand. Two great performances…..a memorable day
Now, a brief summary of our League teams:-
• 1st X1 – we were probably the strongest team in the first division so finishing fourth after a strong start, felt like a disappointment. But it was a decent performance and only 13 points behind Hampstead the winners. There were some notable individual performances particularly from our overseas signing Elliot Opie who had a great season with bat and ball and received the first team player award
• 2nd X1 – many congratulations to our 2nd XI who were crowned winners of the Middlesex League. Captain Ahsan Faraz was in charge when not on first team duty making this a particularly pleasing result. As well as being competitive in its own right, the 2nd XI is also the shop window for any player with a desire to play for the 1st XI.
• 3rd X1 – finished in fifth place improving their result from last year! The side is full of young talented players taking their first steps into senior cricket.
• 4th X1 – finished a highly respectable fourth in Division 3 of the Middlesex League usually playing against ‘third teams’ from other clubs – only ourselves and Richmond CC have four teams in the League. The 4th XI is also for young players to take their first steps into senior cricket and for those seasoned players wishing to add balance to the side.
• 5th X1 – a special “well done” to Stephen Brown and his many players for achieving 9th place in Division 2 of the 1987 League. Stephen captained during the season and performed an excellent job in leading over 50 players, young and old!
• The MCB Development XI – many congratulations to Phil Murphy for captaining our Development League side to the quarter-finals

• The Middlesex Women’s Championship Trophy – this is the first year that Middlesex have run this league and we are delighted that the Ealing Ladies’ team won the very first Championship! This is so well deserved and a great tribute to Coach and Manager James Grigg and all the ladies under his guidance

In April 2013 Ealing Cricket Club merged with Hanwell Cricket Club. Now known as Ealing Hanwellians CC they field two Saturday teams and one Sunday team.
• 1st X1 – finished sixth in the Middlesex Championship Division 2 (1st XI’s) with Captain Sarpinder Singh in charge
• 2nd X1 – Captained by Martin Bovell, finished seventh in the Middx Championship Division 2 (2nd XI’s)
• Sunday XI– finished in seventh position, in the Chess Valley League Division 4…Haseeb Younis Captained the side.
