The morning kicked off with Ealing CC Girls showcasing their talents in the Middlesex Junior Cricket Indoor Finals. Remarkably, three of our girls' teams advanced to the finals.

The U11 team faced off against Richmond. It's thrilling to report that they emerged victorious, claiming the coveted trophy.

Following their success, the U13 Girls Final commenced, featuring Ealing CC against Highgate CC. Despite a commendable effort, the team narrowly missed out on the title, finishing as runners-up with silver medals.

In the subsequent U15 Girls Final, ECC's determined squad battled against the formidable Richmond CC. Despite their best efforts, Richmond proved too strong, leaving the U15's with a commendable second-place finish.

ECC extend heartfelt congratulations to all the girls who participated in the finals and throughout the tournament. Their dedication and hard work truly shine through, and everyone looks forward to a successful and enjoyable outdoor summer season, weather permitting.

Following the Middlesex Indoor Finals, a group of ECC U13 girls proceeded to the UEL SportsDock in East London for the London Youth Games U13 Girls Cricket Finals, proudly representing Ealing Borough.

Entering the finals day undefeated, the competition intensified. Ealing Borough showcased exceptional prowess, triumphing in all group games against Merton, Redbridge, and Richmond. This led the team to the final showdown against reigning champions, Haringey Borough.

Opting to field first after winning the toss, Ealing Borough engaged in a gripping, low-scoring match. With tension running high, both teams gave it their all. Ultimately, with just two balls to spare, Ealing Borough emerged triumphant, securing the prestigious title of LYG Girls U13 Cricket Champions 2024.

A special commendation goes out to Lana, Nishka, Suhana & Maddie, who represented Ealing CC with distinction in the victorious Ealing Borough team.
