Tough start to the season, Ealing Hanwellians won and decided to field first given the conditions were wet and hoping ball with hold a bit and causing difficulty to the batting side. South Hampstead started slowly and patiently gradually building up the inning scoring 272-10 in 44.4 overs, some exceptional bowling from Karan Ratti with 4 wickets and 2 top of the class run outs from Ghulam Mirza put a stop to middle order partnership which was threatening to take the score over 300 runs.
Hanwellians lost quick 3 wickets at the start and eventually steady the ship with the help of Sagar Chand and Rahiluz Zaman. Eventually loosing wickets in quick sessions whilst Sagar Chand held his wicket till the end scoring 72*. Hanwellians finished 142-10 in 34.1 overs. So welldone to Sagar for his patience and careful short selection.
