Uxbridge made their way to Ealing Hanwellians hoping to seek revenge on the previous two encounters. Jake H, our captain for the day lost the toss and we were put into bat. Zuhayr K and Tanush W opened the innings and set the tone with some nice hitting. Two places you should never bowl to Zuhayr K are, short of a length, sitting up nicely or full on the leg stump. Those type of deliveries are destined to go to the boundary. Fortunately for him, that is where the balls were set for him and he took full advantage. He scored 4 boundaries, which included a well struck improvised reverse sweep and finished top scorer on 19. Tanush W also managed a couple of boundaries and finished on 11. Unfortunately, he lost a wicket attempting a suicidal run. However, after the end of the 5 overs we were still nicely set. This laid down a good platform for Jamie PT and Jake H to continue where Zuhayr K and Tanush W left off. They played sensibly and kept the scoreboard ticking over. Unfortunately, we lost another wicket at this stage, with Jake H getting bowled. Lucas Sm and Tom M were the next pair to go in. Lucas Sm played a couple of decent shots through the covers for 4 to keep the momentum going, but was unfortunately also bowled twice. Tom M also lost a wicket by being caught behind from a top edge. Aidan B and Tayyab M were the last pair to go and they batted the final 5 overs without losing a wicket. Aidan B is another batsman who is very strong on anything short of a length. He hit four boundaries and finished second top scorer with 18. Individual batting scores were Zuhayr K (19), Tanush W (11), Jamie PT (5), Jake H (6), Lucas Sm (16), Tom M (7), Aidan B (18), Tayyab (0)

At the end of 20 overs, Ealing had scored 334 for 5. Another decent total in which Uxbridge would have to play well to chase down. Their chase didnt get off to the best of starts, with Zuhayr K obtaining two wickets in the first over, both clean bowled. He followed that with a further two wickets in the third over of the innings, again both clean bowled. He finished with 4 wickets, which put Uxbridge severely on the backfoot. The other four wickets were shared between Tanush W (2), Tom M (1) and direct hit run out from Tayyab M. Tom M hit the timber once from his bowling, as did Tanush W, with his other wicket being caught by Zuhayr K at point

So all in all, Ealing were never put under any sort of pressure. We played well, but still gave away far too many extras. Running between the wickets could have been better, with some more effective calling. Backing up a throw was displayed on occasions, however, it still needs more assertiveness. So the Ealing vs Uxbridge encounters have finished 3-0 for the season
