Wishing all our members a fantastic 2022

Just a quick message to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We had an amazing season in 2021 with great success on the field of play and many positive developments at the Club.

We have been named as the winners of the Victor Ludorum trophy as the Champion Junior Club in Middlesex, retaining the title we won in 2019. This reflected the success of our Junior teams across the board, where we were consistently challenging for trophies in County wide competitions in nearly every age group.

And we already had a new outfield at Corfton Road in 2021 and the new 8 lane Practice Nets are now completed and will be available for use in the 2022 summer season. In addition, the pavilion is about to undergo a substantial refurbishment, hopefully completed in time of new season, and we hope to see a further enhancement and expansion of our playing facilities in 2022. More news of that to come.

You will be pleased to hear that virtually all of the Boys’, and most of the Girls’, League and Cup fixtures have now been agreed. A huge effort by Juan, supported by Chad and myself, with a significant number of additional fixtures, reflecting the fact that we will have 5 additional teams playing MJCA cricket next season. We are starting on the IFL fixtures in the New Year and I hope to send all the fixtures to you by the end of January.

We will also be starting the process of Junior Registration for 2022 next month and we are expecting a further expansion of the numbers of Junior players at the Club.

The success we have enjoyed could not have happened without the efforts of all those members who volunteer to help us run our cricket activities, particularly the Junior activities. And I wanted to express our sincere thanks to you all for your efforts in 2021. We look forward to breaking free of Covid in 2022 and continuing to work together to achieve great things for Ealing Cricket Club.

Best wishes
