Match drawn - Ealing 13 points
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Ealing put together an excellent total of 242-8 in 46 overs before skipper Ramesh Patel declared, giving opponents Uxbridge an opportunity to go for the runs but at the same time giving Ealing sufficient time to bowl Uxbridge out. Ramesh's plan failed when Uxbridge decided after their top scorer Sidhu, who made 68, was bowled by John Lindley that they would be content with a draw.
Ealing's innings revolved around an excellent 87 made by Terrence D'Souza. Terrence received sound support in two separate stands with the Butt brothers, a stand of 63 with Afzal followed by a stand of 82 with Akbar. After Terrence had been dismissed in the 32nd over with the score at 168, the remaining batsmen added 74 in the remaining 14 overs during which another five wickets fell.
Tanjeet Sahota made early inroads into the Uxbridge innings taking two wickets by the time that the score had reached 22, but Sidhu led a recovery at at 115-3, Uxbridge were well on course to come close to Ealing's total but once Sidhu fell, the remaining batsmen shut up shop and a dull draw ensued.
