Match report

On a much better day weatherwise, Ealing entertained OAs at Corfton Road.

OAs won the toss and asked Ealing to take first strike. Harry Podmore opening the innings with Gags Ghurana batted as though he had an early date. He was out, LBW, in the 2nd over having scored 26 out of 27. Ollie Marsh joined Gags but was  out early trying to launch the ball in Corfton Road only to miscue to mid wicket. There after Gags and Nabeel Awan, batting  sensibly in a stand of 65, took the score to 125 when Awan was brilliantly caugth on the boundary by Sivantham for a useful 27. Gags was assisted by Taz Khalid to take the score to a formidable 181 for 6 wkts in 20 overs. Gags failed to reach his 50 and was out for 47 in the teams' cause and Khalid finished on 28.

The Ealing bowlers bowled exceptional line and length and OAs found it incredibly difficult to score runs. Only Sivantham managed to reach double figures ; OAs were bowled out for 36. Luke Paynter took 2 wkts. for 1 run in 4 overs and Robbie Burnett 2 for 3 runs in 4 overs. Harry Podmore bowling off spin 'chipped in' with 4 wkts. for 4 runs in 3 overs.

Thus Ealing won this one sided match by 145 runs.
