Match Report |
Batting first, we got off to a great start with Arthur (54) and Sam (38 retired) putting on 82 in the first 10 overs before Arthur was well caught. A typically aggressive and classy innings from Arthur! Thereafter, BenT (19) was the mainstay as we pushed the score along to a respectable 144-4 wickets off our 20 overs. Thanks to some very tight bowling from Mungo (2 overs for no runs!), Arthur (2-1-11), Oscar (2-1-1), Charlie (2-1-1), Stefan (2-1-1) and Thomas (2-0-5) and some excellent fielding, the Shepherd Bush innings never really got going. After 10 overs, they were just 27 for 2. Thereafter, some robust hitting from Alex Todorov, Shepherds Bush did manage to up their run rate in the second half of their innings but they fell well short of the Ealing total scoring just 66 runs for 7 off their 22 overs. Congratulations to all 10 outfield players who each bowled 2 overs each and, in particular to Stefan, ThomasN and Charlie all of whom got their first wickets this season for the U13Bs! |
