Ealing U13B's won by 10 wickets!

Match report

Good news from the U13Bs who bounced back from last week's disappointment with a crushing win over Acton. Traffic problems meant that several of the Acton players arrived after 6.15, so it was agreed that Ealing would field first, which with threatening skies and our need to win suited us just fine. The boys were on the money from the word go, excellent opening spells by Samuel Allen and Arthur Jenkyn-Jones left Acton on 6 for 1 after 6 overs. George Johnson (2 for 16) and Armaan Malek (3 for 6) destroyed the middle order, leaving Munjot Rajasansir to finish the innings off with 3 wickets for 1 run from 10 balls. Acton were all out for 32 from 16.4 overs - an almost flawless effort from the whole team. The bowling was accurate and the fielding was tight as the boys maintained their intensity through the whole innings. Just 5 wides and 2 no balls were bowled and the number of fielding errors could be counted on the fingers of one hand.

With the threat of storms still there, the boys set about their batting purposefully and took just 4 overs and 4 balls to get past Acton's total, Kosmy Vaygelt scoring 16 not out. So a great result - if we follow this up with a win in our last league match against Perivale next Tuesday we will finish 3rd in the South Area and make it through to the county knock out competition.
