Match Report

A terrific performance from our girls was rewarded with a long overdue win.

Once again our bowling, bolstered by debuts from Ceri Davies and Robyn Mellor, showed improvement in very blustery conditions which made bowling with the incrediball difficult. The girls took some great catches and some slick fielding resulted in 2 run outs. So we restricted Underhill to a very gettable total on a fast outfield with short boundaries.

Our batting was consistent with all the girls chipping in and playing their part. It was somewhat disrupted by regular retirements to ensure all the girls had a bat. And we ended up scrambling a bye off the last ball of the 20th over to win the match.

And well done too to all the parents who came along to support the girls. I think 7 of the girls had family watching the match.

All in all a fabulous morning played in glorious sunshine at a very pretty setting.
