Match Report |
Another great win from the Ealing Under 11s continuing their unbeaten season. Playing Old Actonians who they beat in a very tight League match a few weeks ago, Ealing provided another excellent performance to win comfortably by 21 runs. Put into bat, Ealing scored steadily against a good Old As attack. Ceri Davies gave the innings impetus with 18 runs, including three boundaries and Mia Lindsay also contributed well with 14 runs, also with three boundaries. Ealing posted a credible 110 in their 20 overs for the loss of only three wickets. Once again, Ealing’s bowling was excellent. 5 wickets in the first seven overs tore the heart out of the Old As batting lineup and the game was effectively over. These included a brilliant run out by Ceri Davies with a direct hit and a fine catch by Nesha Cook. Ealing continued to bowl accurately and the fielding was also impressive with very few mistakes. Ceri Davies was the leading wicket taker with 3 for 3 from 3 overs and 1 maiden. Old As finished on 89 for 6 off their 20 overs, well short of the target. | |
