Match Report

After the tension of our match against Old Actonians on Friday evening, this was a much more straightforward victory and an outstanding team performance.

Right from the start, the Ealing girls found the right line and length and 3 Harefield batters were back in the pavilion within the first 4 overs. The bowling continued to be good in testing windy conditions and the fielding was excellent with Harefield restricted to only 81.

May and Georgia got Ealing off to an excellent start and the other batters continued the Ealing domination.

We cruised to victory in the 15th over, although we did extend the innings to give all the girls a bat.

Again the Ealing bowling was the decisive factor and, although the wides and no balls were up on Friday’s match, the conditions were significantly tougher with the gusting wind. Georgia Bentley distinguished herself with 3 overs, 2 maidens , no wickets for 2 runs.

Given Headstone forfeited our first league match, this leaves us with three wins out of three and, if we win the last game against Ickenham next month, we will win our league.
