Ealing 1st XI Win The Regional T20 Competition

Yesterday, Ealing 1st XI were crowned the Regional T20 Winners after beating Colchester CC in the Final at the ECG.

This means that the e-men are one game away from making the Finals Day at Cardiff on September 1st which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Ealing made it past Sawbridgeworth CC in the first game yesterday beating them by 6 wickets with Chris Wakefield (68*) and Huw Jones (50) putting on a great partnership to see the e-men home.

In the final, Ealing posted 172-6 thanks to a classy 50 from Luke Stoughton and contributions from Oli Wilkin (34) and Chris Wakefield (32).

Colchester came hard out the blocks, but some good bowling at the right times meant that they needed 28 runs off the final Oliver Wilkin over. Ealing eventually won by 11 runs and will play Bury St Edmunds on the 16th August for a place in the finals day.
